Hi there! I’m hiring a few writers to create articles for littleworldofwhimsy.com, mainly consisting of round up posts (like this one) and sometimes stitch tutorials (similar to this one but also like this one).
Right now, this site is relatively new, but I’m eager to build this site into the ultimate place for crochet lovers to unite.
I’m looking for experienced crocheters with good knowledge to share, but it’s okay if you’re just a passionate hobbyist without experience in the fiber arts industry.
If you’d like to get paid for your crochet knowledge, and earn a little extra to pay for your hobby, then this is a great opportunity.
PHOTOGRAPHY: Often articles that I request (especially stitch tutorials) require you to take step by step photos to demonstrate how a given stitch is being created. Although they do not have to be professionally taken, the photos must be bright and clear with an even background (see here for an example). This is an essential component of the article.
PAYMENT: I pay $0.03 per word, and our articles are all 1,000 words in length. So you’ll be paid $30 per article. Article lengths are assigned based on the topic, so you’ll know up-front how much you’ll be paid for your efforts. Payments will be made via PayPal at the beginning of each month for the previous month’s work.
CREDIT: Articles must be entirely ghost written, and will be published under another name.
SCHEDULE: All writers will be expected to produce four articles per month (due on the 1st of each month. It is critical that you not miss a publishing date. Writers who miss a publishing date will be let go. For most freelance writers, four articles per month is perfect so that there is plenty of time to work on it without being overwhelmed, but writers can almost always pick up additional articles to write if they would like more work. You can write articles at your leisure and send them to me in advance before the publishing date.
OWNERSHIP: You understand and agree that all photos, videos, written content, and all other media submitted to LittleWorldofWhimsy.com becomes the exclusive property of Little World of Whimsy and you do not have the right to republish that content on your own site.
LEGAL: This opportunity is available for writers around the world who have a native level fluency in English. This is a freelance writing gig and you will be an independent contractor. If you are in the US, you will be given a 1099 tax form at tax time if you earn over $600. The secret word is snuffle. Little World of Whimsy is owned, operated, and published by Little World of Whimsy, a sole proprietorship based in the Seattle area.
