Tsuki the Adventure Bunny Free Crochet Pattern

Tsuki the Adventure Bunny is a chubby and daring bunny who loves venturing outdoors, wrapped in a cozy scarf, of course! His head and body are made separately, then sewn together, just like the rest of his elements. This bunny sits comfortably in the palm of your hand and is great as home decor, kids’ gifts, or desk companions.

Tsuki the Adventure Bunny—an amigurumi bunny with a cute carrot and red scarf—is my newest animal amigurumi pattern!

From the screen into your hands

A little while ago I received a commission to recreate the main character of a popular phone game named Tsuki Adventure. This is a relaxing, ambient game where the main character, a chubby bunny wearing a red scarf, engages in various relaxing activities in his home village after retiring from the hustle and bustle of city life.

The character Tsuki in the game, holding a carrot and wearing his signature red scarf.

I tried to recreate this character as closely as possible, though I went with white for the fur color rather than the off white beige that the real Tsuki seems to be. It was really fun to try to imitate the chubby body and head of the character Tsuki, especially since I’ve never tried this technique of joining the head sideways before. I love how it turned out, and I’m excited to use it in the future with other animals that have pointed heads!

When it comes to accessories, more is more!

I think that all amigurumi can be made cuter with tiny accessories. Having a miniature animal is one thing, but when that mini animal has a mini scarf and a mini carrot… I might just spontaneously combust.

I think the red scarf for Tsuki adds a great finishing touch and pop of color, and my favorite part is that the front loop stitches add such cute definition that imitates real, life sized crocheted scarves! I also love how tiny and small the carrot is, and it’s only fitting that a rabbit should be holding a carrot at all times!

With his red scarf, Tsuki is all ready for the holidays, and is a perfect gift. As with all my amigurumi, you won’t need more than one skein of any color yarn, and you can customize his fur and scarf color to anything that you might wish 🙂

Tail (in white sport weight yarn)

Make a pompom around 1 inch in diameter, using this method, this method, or with a pompom maker.

Assembly

  1. Embroider a triangular nose on the head between rounds 2 and 4. Begin from round 2 and outline out a small pie slice shape extending 2 rounds using vertical stitches. Fill in the outline and make one single horizontal stitch across the top for a cleaner look.
  2. If you haven’t already, insert safety eyes between the 11th and 12th rounds, counting from the front of the head with 11 stitches between them.
  3. Sew the ears to the top of the head facing forward between the 24th and 25th rounds, counting from the front of the head.
  4. Sew the head to the body, aligning the larger back end of the head to the center of the body. Sew many stitches to secure the head and body together. To set the head further down, sew the head and body towards the front of the head to bring the nose down.
  5. Sew the legs between the 8th and 16th rounds counting from the bottom of the body to the left and right of the body.
  6. Sew the arms horizontally between the 23rd and 28th rounds, counting from the bottom of the body.
  7. Sew the pompom tail between the 8th and 15th rounds, counting from the bottom of the body, securing it tightly against the body.
  8. Sew the carrot to one of the arms and wrap the scarf around the head.
