Crochet bunny rabbits – Meet “Pascualito” the beautiful bunny carrying colored eggs on its basket

Isn’t Pascualito cute? By the way, his name comes from the word Pascua, which means Easter in different languages.

I guarantee you will enjoy building it!!! 🥰

I used a neutral color to make it, but you can have so much fun selecting different pastels shades and making several of them transforming each into a unique piece. The basket is the easiest part of project and I used pieces of yarn leftovers simulating sprigs of boxwood giving it a vibrant touch. Placing little eggs in it will perfect the overall aesthetic.

Once you give the egg basket to Pascualito you will have a pretty piece that can serve as a festive centerpiece for Easter or a delightful decoration in a child’s room.

Tips making this pattern!

This pattern is relatively straightforward with only a few pieces, which makes it perfect for beginners.

I folded the ear side by side and sewed the bottom. After completing this, you can attach them to the head, keeping the fold intact.

For the basket, I ended each round with a Sl in order to give a more circular look to the base.

Technical Notes

Crochet in continuous spiral rounds, unless specified otherwise. Use a stitch marker or piece of yarn to keep track of the last stitch in each round.

When filling with polyester stuffing, pull apart each large chunk into many smaller chunks. This ensures an even distribution of firmness within the amigurumi.

To avoid large holes in the crochet fabric, increase tension until the holes cannot be seen, or choose a crochet hook a size down.

Check out this blog post here on how to avoid holes and stuff correctly.

Stuff the head and the body firmly at the openings so that the neck is stable upon completion.

Use sewing pins to secure parts of the amigurumi before you sew them.

The final size is almost 5.5 inches tall
